Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a drug free non-invasive manual therapy that aims to detect, diagnose, treat and prevent health problems. Osteopaths use techniques like physical manipulation, stretching and massage to improve and restore musculoskeletal health, increase the mobility of joints and affect the nervous, circulatory, and lymphatic systems. Much like physiotherapy and chiropractic, osteopathy is covered by most private health insurers providers. Insurance receipts are available upon request.
Osteopathy Initial Assessment

An initial assessment appointment with an Osteopath typically lasts 45 minutes and consists of the assessment followed by treatment. Please make sure to fill out a Consultation Form you will receive by e-mail prior to your appointment. The information you provide will allow the Osteopath to better prepare for your visit and dedicate more time to the actual treatment. You do not need to make any specific preparations, however we will ask you to arrive on time to make sure all our appointments run as scheduled.

Follow-up Appointments

It is very likely you will be required to return to complete your treatment before you are discharged. In most cases, the treatments are more effective when manual therapy techniques are applied alongside prescribed physical exercise. You may be required to follow an exercise routine at home. All exercises will be emailed to you for constant reference. Please do your best to allow enough time to do your exercises to speed up your recovery. Follow-up Appointments typically consist of a brief consultation to gauge any changes in your health since the previous visit and treatment.
